Microsoft Bookings Wants to Help Customers Schedule Meetings

A business thrives when customers can easily connect with their staff. For a service store, consulting firm, accounting firm or any business that relies on fixed meetings with clients, you can increase revenues if you program intelligently, and you can hurt the profits if you are running a three-track circus. Customers want a simple way to schedule time with a consultant, technician or other expert, as they are also busy and overloaded most of the time.

As we are all inundated with email and social networks, not to mention meeting requests at work, Microsoft created an application that helps customers schedule meetings directly with their employees. Microsoft Bookings is a smart application because it cuts the noise, but you may not know all the benefits and how it can help your company more, especially since there are other options for programming.

Greater benefits

It is not a good sign (although it is for Microsoft, since the market is so mature) when the main competition for any application is a blackboard in an office. Microsoft representatives told Business News Daily that many small and medium businesses use a whiteboard in an office to communicate about schedules, mainly because it tends to work. Some other tools are available (see below), but smaller companies sometimes also use Microsoft Excel for programming.

The biggest benefit is speed. Customers see a simple website that allows them to book the meeting, reschedule the appointment and receive reminders by email. Internally, each employee has a place to see which appointments are on the agenda. In fact, you may find it easier to schedule Bookings appointments on behalf of clients because the main benefit is how employees can consult the same calendar.

You can run Reserves as a stand-alone site or insert the application into your own company's website, making it appear that you yourself have encoded the programmer. Microsoft allows you to add custom marks to create a consistent appearance. You can add custom fields, such as an alternate email for the customer or if a down payment is required. Everyone from a CPA to a carpet installer can rely on the application, and it's simple and quick to use.

Prices

The most important decision you should make when it comes to reservations is if you want to stop using an existing spreadsheet or whiteboard. Some companies have difficulty adopting something new if the current system works, so it is part of their evaluation process.

Here's the good news: if you're already using Microsoft 365 Business or Office 365 Business Premium, you already have access to reservations. If you are not using one of those plans, basic pricing plans start at around $ 12.50 per month per user for access to the letter.

Competition

Another decision is whether to consider a more elaborate tool. Reservations do not offer many extras, only the custom fields that you can add to the planner. A much more advanced tool, such as Square Appointments, costs $ 30 per month for a user, but if you add more seats, it can increase to $ 50 per user or more per month. MindBody is another more advanced option, but prices tend to be even higher as the feature set increases.

With Bookings, there is an application for iOS and Android, and the interface is clear and easy to use, but it is not a high-end application. Square Appointments and MindBody, for example, allow you to add an electronic commerce component to sell products as part of the programming process.

However, reservations can be a great option for a company that needs simple programming without complications, and customers will not have to discover advanced features.

Microsoft 70-767 Question Answer

A SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package on a computer is failing periodically in production. The package was created less than one year ago and was deployed to the SSIS catalog. Sometimes the package is started on a SQL Agent schedule; sometimes the package is started manually by an SSIS developer by using the Object Explorer in SQL Server Management Studio. You need to identify the authenticated user responsible for starting the package each time it failed in the past. Where can you find this information?

A. the SQL Server Log
B. the SSISDB.[catalog].[executions] view
C. the SSISDB.[catalog].[event_messages] view
D. the SQL Agent Job History
E. the SQL Agent Error Log

Answer: B

You are designing a data warehouse for a software distribution business that stores sales by software title. It stores sales targets by software category. Software titles are classified into subcategories and categories. Each software title is included in only a single software subcategory, and each subcategory is included in only a single category. The data warehouse will be a data source for an Analysis Services cube. The data warehouse contains two fact tables:
• factSales, used to record daily sales by software title
• factTarget, used to record the monthly sales targets by software category
Reports must be developed against the warehouse that reports sales by software title, category and subcategory, and sales targets. You need to design the software title dimension. The solution should use as few tables as possible while supporting all the requirements. What should you do?

A. Create three software tables, dimSoftware, dimSoftwareCategory. and dimSoftwareSubcategory and a fourth bridge table that joins software titles to their appropriate category and subcategory table records with foreign key constraints. Direct the cube developer to use key granularity attributes.
B. Create three software tables, dimSoftware, dimSoftwareCategory, and dimSoftwareSubcategory.
Connect factSales to all three tables and connect factTarget to dimSoftwareCategory with foreign key constraints. Direct the cube developer to use key granularity attributes.
C. Create one table, dimSoftware, which contains Software Detail, Category, and Subcategory columns. Connect factSales to dimSoftware with a foreign key constraint. Direct the cube developer to use a non-key granularity attribute for factTarget.
D. Create two tables, dimSoftware and dimSoftwareCategory. Connect factSales to dimSoftware and factTarget to dimSoftwareCategory with foreign key constraints. Direct the cube developer to use key granularity attributes.

Answer: C

Microsoft’s Kinect and HoloLens Inventor Thinks ‘The phone Is Already Dead’

Alex Kipman, one of Microsoft's best technicians, believes the smartphone era is over. "The phone is already dead," Kipman says in an interview with Bloomberg. "People just do not realize it." Kipman believes that a mixed-mode device like HoloLens will replace the phone, but he has not shared his exact predictions for the deadline when the phone allegedly dead will be replaced.

Not surprisingly, Kipman chose Microsoft's HoloLens as the phone replacement. Kipman is one of the inventors of the technology inside the HoloLens headset, and helped to develop it secretly under the Microsoft visitor center in Redmond, Washington. Kipman also invented the Kinect sensor, and rose to prominence within Microsoft after it initially sold well as a consumer gadget for the Xbox 360. The Kinect story took a wrong turn when Microsoft tried to group it with the Xbox One at a price $ 100 premium over its PlayStation 4 rival. The Kinect sensor now laughs at gamers, but it is still widely used by researchers and developers as a motion detection 3D camera.

The bold prediction of Kipman suggests that Microsoft thinks that mixed reality, or augmented reality, headphones will soon. The comments also follow a revelation from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella that the company's next phones "may not look like phones.

Microsoft introduced its HoloLens headset more than two years ago, before sending it to developers a little over a year ago. Microsoft has not yet shipped a HoloLens to consumers, but anyone with $ 3,000 can buy one directly from Microsoft. A successor to the developer edition is not expected to arrive until 2019, as Microsoft has delayed its plans due to lack of competition. Both Magic Leap and Apple are working on similar augmented reality headphones, but none seems willing to unveil them as a replacement phone yet.

Microsoft 70-767 Question Answer

You are implementing a SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package that loads data hosted in a SQL Azure database into a data warehouse. The source system contains redundant or inconsistent data. When the package finds invalid data, the row containing the invalid data must be omitted but it must also be written to a text file for further analysis. You need to establish the best technique to log these invalid rows while keeping the amount of development effort to a minimum. What should you do?

A. Add an OnError event handler to the SSIS project.
B. Use an msi file to deploy the package on the server.
C. Open a command prompt and run the gacutil command.
D. Open a command prompt and run the dtutil /copy command.
E. Open a command prompt and run the dtexec /rep /conn command.
